Scenic elements and Riccardo's Soviet army

All my club mates are working on scenic elements and army to be ready for the next Turin Bolt Action tournament that we will host on Feb 29, 2020

Below a new house prepared by Flavio and a boat painted by Riccardo

Some of my mates told me that in my posts I showed only German soldiers ... it is not the true! ... I have also other BA armies: an Italian one, an English one and a US  but I have to admit that I showed in my blog seldom Soviet soldiers ... so I cannot not to publish some pics of Riccardo's 28mm army

For first I post a photo one of his tanks ... he started only some months ago to use the airbrush but when a person is a good painter the results cannot be as in the pics below

To continue with some of his Siberian veterans ...

... and some of his marine troops

To complete this post with some regular troops

Sd.Kfz.2 - Kettendrad and other German troops

Some months ago, Riccardo, another of my club mates, gave me two Sd.Kfz.2 (better known as kettenkrad). Considering that I have in 28mm green devils army and in February my club will organize a Bolt Action tournament it is the right moment to paint them

This vehicle started its life as a light tractor for airborne troops but during the war it was used as runway tug for aircraft too. I have not aircrafts in 28mm so I used them only as troops tractor

One of the things I appreciated more in a wargame club it is that you can find many people (Ivano, Flavio, Ezio and others) that are able to prepare great scenario elements as the ones I used for my pics

I know that I already posted some of these miniatures but last month I re-painted some faces using the advice that Aurelian and Maurizio gave me.

Below other pics … I hope someone can appreciate them

Another Napolenic battle - Black Powder Jan, 3 2020

In the last weeks my mates continued with their Napoleonic battles ..

Last week our Duke of Wellington used his military skills to destroy the evil French but ...

... the French are hard to defeat even if they are forced to be in a defensive formation

At the end my friend must launch his Scots Greys  to win

Sd.Kfz.184 (Elefant) - Sd.Kfz.171 (Panther) - Panzer Brigate 150

Last week my friends played to Rapid Fire and after they finished their game the table was already prepared so ... why not to take some pics of my new tanks?

The tank crew of a Sd.Kfz. 184 ... also called Elefant ... is working to refill his tank

The Elefant was an heavy tank destroyer used at the end of the war in particular during the Battle of Kursk.  It was a great tank if used for a static defensive role ... unfortunately poor mobility and mechanical unreliability greatly diminished its operational capability.

Before Christmas holidays I bought two Tigers and two Panthers to create armour unit in line with Rapid Fire ... waiting I finished to paint them I took some pics of the Panther I painted for test.

The Sd.Kfz.171 was initially used to fight against the Soviet T-34 but this model was largely used in a lot of war theaters.

That day, I had also some American soldiers with me so I thought  to take some pictures using them. The idea was to create a simple vignette inspiring to Panzer Brigate 150

This German Brigate was formed to take part in the Ardennes offensive and it was a special unit that included English-speaking members wearing American Army uniforms to cause disruption and disinformation behind the American lines.

Finally, why not to use the same crossroad to re create a movement of troops?

... or a simple hill or a road to take some pics of a Stug?
